HOW IT WORKS

What to expect on installation day

Most homes take one day to install. Larger homes or more complex rooflines may take two. We'll confirm the schedule with you and explain when we need you home.

We pay attention to how the lights look during the day as well as at night. That means neatly fitted track, careful placement, and a system you know how to use before we leave.

Before the day

1. The measurement and quote

We walk around the house with you, measure the roofline you want lit, and check the trim, access, and available power. Then we put together your quote. The visit is free and takes under an hour for most homes. Our pricing page explains what's included.

2. Layout

After you approve the quote, we plan the track placement, corners, wiring route, and controller location. We'll review the layout with you before installation.

On the day

3. Mounting the track

We fit the track along the approved roofline, using a color that complements your trim. We take care with alignment, corners, and the ends of each section so the installation looks neat from the street.

4. Wiring and the controller

We connect the lighting sections to the controller and power supply. We'll agree on an equipment location that suits the system's requirements and gives you access when needed.

5. Testing

We turn on and test each section before packing up, checking the lights and controls across the installed system.

6. Your walkthrough

We help you set up the app and show you how to change colors, save your favorite settings, and create a schedule. You'll have time to try it and ask questions.

7. Cleanup

We collect packaging, offcuts, and installation debris, then check the work area before we leave.

What we need from you

  • Access around the house. Move vehicles out of the work area, unlock side gates, and clear a path to the sections we're installing.
  • Power. Let us know where your exterior outlets are. We'll review the power requirements during the measurement visit.
  • Pets inside. Please keep pets away from the work area while the crew is installing.
  • Someone for the walkthrough. Have the person who will use the app available for setup and questions.

Things that come up

What if my fascia or trim is in poor shape?

We'll check the visible condition at the measurement visit. If we find a section that needs repair before the track can be installed, we'll let you know. If an issue appears during installation, we'll discuss it with you before continuing in that area.

Where does the track fasten?

The track fastens along the fascia, soffit, or eave. We'll confirm the mounting approach for your roofline during the measurement visit.

What about my HOA?

Check your HOA's rules for permanent exterior lighting before installation. If you need details about the proposed placement, bring it up during the measurement visit so we can help you explain the plan.

Can you install in winter?

Snow, ice, and high winds can affect the installation schedule. If conditions make the work unsafe, we'll arrange another day with you.

What happens if something stops working later?

Contact us and tell us what's happening. We'll help identify the issue and explain the next step, including whether it falls under the installation or product warranty.
